Saw Burning Flag at Gateshead Black Bull a few times now. And once at Rebellion. Great stuff. Love all her shouting and screaming, then a little timid "Thank you" in between songs. Ha ha! Thanks for posting.

They could be kids but they wouldn't be the people who managed to put albums- Eps- tracks for compilations. Members did time in what was HMPs short, sharp ,shock for trying to make people aware that the "life" they lived was full of contradictions, disparity, hypocrasy. We were young and naive but tried there best to do the what they could with the equipment and knowledge they had. They didn't stick to the punk bible of what you could & couldn't say/do. They picked up a lot of negative attention especially, "A Look At Life" for both music and lyrics. One had a similar twang as a G.B.H song, (intentional) and that was pilloried. We claimed to be no better than anyone just wanted to be in an on-going collaboration of any bands wanting to make a difference to anyone who would listen to what they did,
Being a Dad is ace. Life moves on but our brains stay the same ;) Stop being ageist.

40 years ago as a 13 yr old kid i heard Discharge for the first time ever and they completely blew me away, they were a band pioneering a new genre of music well ahead of their time.
It was 82' and no one was doing it faster and more honest. No Discharge, no Thrash, no Hardcore, no Black Metal, no Grind or Death!!! Nothing, say nothing.
Thanks for this! The embryonic version of "Resurrection Joe" has quite a Sex Gang / Theatre of Hate feel to it. That's probably not surprising, given the connections that Nigel and Billy had to the aforementioned bands. However, it's far more evident there than on other tracks. Fascinating!
